This painting is part of a body of work that I started over lockdown recording the daily walks that we all took part in. The walks became pilgrimages and the places I visited often provided solace. A walk on Durdham Downs wasn’t complete with out looking across to the bridge from the Sea Walls. In an unpredictable world the bridge was was something solid and familiar.
